Garden - week 3

The corn and okra are not ready to be planted yet...
but the tomatoes and squash are starting to grow
& the carrots are starting to come up

Yesterday we planted the green beans and peas.

& started the sunflower seeds.

Also, we got a black cherry tomato plant @ the nursery last week

the blueberries are looking good:)

We put a few pumpkins out front to vine along the flower bed

Also, we MDH finished digging the horsetail out front and added some more succulents...

I need to find some more red Impatients to put in there for some color

It looks ssssooooo much better:)

Christmas in March

Kellye found these for at an estate sale yesterday and I love them...

I mean they are right up there on the list with my blow mold Santas

they don't work. but I'm sure the lighting guy can fix them for me:)

new shower curtain & a rug in progress

Our plain old boring white shower curtain gets shorter everytime I wash it.  And since it was white & the dirty dog rubs up against it, it has to be washed fairly often.  It had shrunk so much that it barely touched the top of the tub.  I never really liked it, so I made a new one from a sheet I got @ the thrift store last summer.

It looks wayyyyyyy better...

I will make matching curtains for the window when I get a tension curtain rod.

I started this rug last year, but ripped it all out because it was not laying flat.

It's croched from strips of sheets.

It's about 1/3 of the way done.

I better get to ripping some more sheets:)

2013 Garden - week1

This past weekend we had beautiful weather so we started planting our garden.

We planted 3 different kinds of tomatoes, and some yellow squash. 

Also started seeds for gourds, green beans, peas, corn and okra.

There are 5 pepper plants, oregano, and green onions left from last year.

The most work was making this new bed...

We put some cucumbers and squash here.

As soon as the nursery gets more black cherry tomatoes in, we will put one here.

& 2 new blueberry plants
