to work on the Vegas house - part 4

09-6-13 to 09-08-13

 

We moved all of the furniture so we could paint the walls and sand the floor...

 

 

MDH had to make a door for the access panel in the closet.

 

 

Then we were ready to lay down the pad and laminate...

 

 

And put the baseboards on...

 

 

 

 

 

Clean the ceiling and paint the pink bathroom...

 

 

Put the mirror back in the wall.

 

 

We still have to paint the ceiling and put some trim around the mirror. 

I guess it was taken out for a water leak and the drywall got all messed up.  It used to fit perfect.

 

glue the door to the garage and paint...

 

 

start to paint the trim outside...

 

 

 

Pick up a new blind for the garage window...

 

 

 

Clean up...

 

 

and pack up the best mattress ever to drive home...

 

 

My grass used to be green like my neighbors...

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

on the way to Vegas

We took a different highway than usual because I had not been that way before...

an airplane graveyard

a dust storm...

and a rainbow:)

8-30-13 to 9-2-13

A very special day for the Jeep...

 

 

First, replace the old microwave...

 

 

 with the new one...

this is the last microwave I ever care to install.

 

 

Belle is supervising...

 

 

 

Next, have a yard sale...

Then, a trip to Home Depot for more paint and to Lowes for Laminate flooring...

 

 

 

 

take the baseboards off and prep the bedroom for paint...

 

 

holes in the walls to fix...

 

 

Lots of doors and trim to paint...

 

 

 

 

Hoarding beans:)

 

 

and we got the other side of the shelf painted...

 

 

When I planted these palm trees they were very tiny.  I love them:)

 

 

We folded the rug and got it in the Jeep:)

 

 

and drove back to LA...
