A Quick trip to Vegas

Snow on the San Gabriel Mountains...

We had to take a detour and found a new thrift store...

 MDH found a record...

And a rusty bit...

I found some old travel patches for my suitcases...

 We dropped off some of the bricks...

On the way home, wade a detour to go see Bottle Tree Ranch...

And drove on Route 66...

Date Day

To Olvera Street...

The biggest grape vines I have ever seen...

Crossing the entire street...

We did some shopping...

Had some lunch...

& got a few souveniers.

Then we walked across to Union Station.  I had not been there before...

 

Today's Thrift Store Finds

A huge Cathrineholm bowl.  It is 11"...

A patch for my suitcase...

A Tervis tumbler...

Part of the Circus Train for my FPLP.  It came with the engine, but I already had one that was in better shape...

Today's Estate Sale Finds - North Hills

We had not planned on stopping at this sale, but MDH saw the sign while we were out so we decided to stop.  I went this sale yesterday, and left empty handed.   I think I was too focused on getting home to clean up our new lamps:)  He always seems to see things that I don't, plus the sale was about to end, so the prices were super cheap.

A box of old light bulbs.  One is dated 1958, and they all work...

This little metal guy was in the bottom of the box...

He took it apart to clean it and t works...

Now we need to keep our eyes open for a film...
